Upper back exercises

One of the biggest mistakes done while working the upper back is involving your neck and trap muscles as the major muscles groups performing the workout. Always CONSENTRATE on posture.  We want to engage your abs so think about pulling your belly button in and then up. Drop your shoulders and slowly pull your shoulder blades back and down. Be careful not to squeeze your shoulder blades hard. We want this to be a comfortable position. During any upper back exercise please be sure to start off in this position. Really take the time to think about this before and during your exercise. If you need to correct yourself in the middle of your set do so. It will pay off in the long run.
