Reality Tv Show The Alist

So my good friend and client :)Ryan Nickulas will be staring in the reality TV show The Alist (Logo Network). We have done some great things to get him camera ready shape. Lots of plyometrics, cardio, and strength training. Not to mention the HUGE improvement he has made to his eating habits. I am super proud of him for the commitment he has made to change his lifestyle. He may fall of the wagon with a slice of pizza or two but... if that's the worst I have to deal with hallelujah.

Just a little blueberry info...

Most experts agree that blueberries are the healthiest fruit. Blueberries have been found to have one of the highest ORAC values of any food in the world. What does that mean? Well ORAC is a rating system for antioxidant power. Scientists look at how all the different phytochemicals and antioxidants in a given food perform together and then give an overall rating to the food based on its performance. Think of a sports team. A championship team doesn't win a championship just because it has good players. It becomes outstanding because of how well they work together as a group. The best teams are more than just the sum of their individual players. Well, it's the same thing with antioxidants. The ORAC rating looks at how well the antioxidants in a given food work together and how much protection and value they give you when taken as a group in that particular food. And one of the highest scorers of all time is blueberries. Blueberries are low in sugar. They're high in fiber. And research is constantly revealing their almost magical healing properties.

Did you know when trying to reduce weight 70% of your results are determined by your diet?? This doesn't exclude you from exercise though, you still want to build muscle to support healthy bones. So take the time and look in that fridge/cabinet of yours and ask yourself... Is there something in here that's holding me back.

Be Positive!!!

When your latest workout or food program isn't going as planned stay POSITIVE. You have to believe in what your doing in order to make changes. Thinking negatively can possibly negate any positive results you have already acquired. Sit down and think about what you need to do to get you back on track. Ab Equipment

The best piece of ab equipment you can get is a physio ball. Provides excellent lower back support with traditional ab exercises and forces you to really activate your abs during your workout. The physio ball is so versatile that it really is in a league of its own. The physio ball will challenge anyone ranging from beginner to advanced athlete. I would absolutely recommend picking up one for your home.

Lu Lu Lemon

Hi all,

I just became a HUGE fan of this brand Lu Lu Lemon. My fabulous friend and client Ryan Darius (check out his salon to the right for the best in NYC styling) came to the gym in one of their great shirts. He told me about the brand so I decided to walk down to one of there stores located in Union Square. They have great fitting clothes and they come in fantastic colors. I tried on a pair of workout pants that were way to long but was informed that they would hem them for FREE!!! Lu Lu Lemon claims the clothing doesnt fade and shape is retained by using spandex. Now I will say that all of the clothes are on the HIGH end of gym clothing $$$. However the price is totally worth it for the fit and comfort alone. I will be shopping there again very soon.
